Mark’s (formerly Mark’s Work Wearhouse) was founded in 1977 and it is a beloved Canadian brand that people know and trust. As a company built on quality and durability, and with more than 85 retail stores across Canada, the Mark’s rebrand has been a critical milestone to the company’s success.
I worked in-house at Mark’s as a Branding Designer at the time, and worked in tandem with Calgary-based agency Watermark to create, refine, execute and roll-out the new visual identity and visual brand messaging across multiple channels. The overall goal was to shift consumer perceptions and introduce new customers to Mark’s thereby expanding its target audience.
I also then worked with the team at Mark’s to photograph seasonal product from brands such as Levi’s and Helly Hansen, as well as Mark’s brands like Denver Hayes, DH3, Wind River and Dakota.
“The Mark’s logo is still holding strong a decade later. We were lucky to have had your hand in it.”
