As a seasoned creative lead with 20 years experience in the areas of Creative Direction, Graphic Design, Photography and Brand Storytelling, I create both for direct clients and through collaboration with design and advertising agencies. I’ve worked with some of the world’s largest brands including Dell, Canon, Samsung, Google Maps and Ford.

I’m a methodical and intuitive design thinker, and as a creative and strategic design partner I bring an aesthetically-honed aptitude and artisan quality to every project.

Dax Justin is a Canadian Creative Director, Graphic Designer, Photographer and Explorer based in Calgary, AB, Canada. He attended and graduated the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in New Media.

Dax’s 20 years in the creative industry has included freelance consultation work, in-house, partnering with design studios and advertising agencies, and full-time roles. This has produced a well-versed, multidisciplinary portfolio spanning a scope of work including corporate/brand identities, rebrands, marketing materials, integrated brand campaigns, print design, digital design, advertising, creative strategy and brand development.

Elected Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society

In November of 2019 I was inducted as a Fellow into the College of Fellows of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society (FRCGS). In the Spring of 2019 I became a NatGeo Certified Educator. The National Geographic Educator Certification is a free professional development program that recognizes pre-K through 12 formal and informal educators committed to inspiring the next generation of explorers, conservationists, and changemakers. These educators are part of a powerful movement to make the world a better place by empowering students to be informed decision-makers equipped to solve meaningful challenges in their communities and beyond. Contributor to Canadian Geographic

Since 2017 I have been a contributor for Canadian Geographic. In October of 2017 CanGeo sent me to the tundra of Churchill, Manitoba to trek the ice on a polar bear safari. Photographing polar bears in their nature ecosystem was a transformative experience. Read more. The Ad Rodeo Association is the celebration of creative excellence in Calgary, Alberta. Each year, Ad Rodeo provides creative professionals the opportunity to meet, talk, learn, mentor and celebrate what they do through several events that culminate in the Anvil Awards.
